In Pakistan, there are several types of partnership registration:

- Limited partnership: A partnership in which there are one or more general partners who are responsible for managing the business and are jointly and severally liable for its debts, and one or more limited partners who are not responsible for managing the business and are only liable for its debts to the extent of their capital contributions.
- Limited liability partnership: A partnership in which the partners have limited liability for the debts of the partnership, similar to a corporation.
- Joint venture: A temporary partnership formed for a specific purpose or project.
- Professional partnership: A partnership formed by professionals, such as lawyers or accountants, to practice their profession.
